Our Family Culture
At Dixon, we believe in fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, continuous improvement and customer service. We value open communication, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Our employees are more than just colleagues – they are family. We support each other, celebrate our successes, and work together to overcome challenges. At the heart of Dixon today, is a family culture. Michael Dixon Senior started in haulage in 1979, and by 1982 was running trucks to the Continent. In 1988, he died at the tragically young age of 36, and the company ceased trading. However, a decade later his eldest son Michael restarted the business.
Dixon Evolution
Within six years, the company had grown to a fleet of 50 trucks and as the company grew the trading premises moved from the home base in Co. Meath to Swords. In 2016 the new headquarters and warehouse opened in the strategically important location of FoodCentral, St. Margaret’s which is within 5 minutes of Dublin Airport and 15 minutes from Dublin Port. Upholding our family values and principles, whilst reinvesting in people, top quality equipment and technology are primary objectives for Dixon.
At Dixon, ‘experience in motion’ is our motto. Every day, our team of experienced drivers and warehouse colleagues deliver more than just products; we work tirelessly to ensure our customers are at the centre of everything we do.
Our People
Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our customers. From our skilled drivers who navigate the roads with precision, to our experienced transport managers who ensure everything runs smoothly, each member of the Dixon team plays a vital role in our success.
